Problem with waypoints

I had a issue with the deletion of waypoints today. Was wondering if anyone else has the same problem. I imported a .kml file that I had prepared in Google Earth. The file contained a route which I had plotted. When I imported the file, i-regatta showed the path in the Route section and also listed the waypoints that the path was made out of in the waypoint list.

I tried deleting one of those waypoints and i-regatta immediately shut down. The program would not open after that and I had to re-install the app.

It seems that deleting a waypoint that is part of a route may be the cause of the issue. The problem is that if you deleted a waypoint in error half way through a race you would be stuck until you could re-install the s/ware.
